Captain's Blog 15 April 2011

On Sunday we have our final game of the league. It's basically a league Semi Final. It's a big challenge away from home but the lads are looking forward to it.

The Tipperary game was very disappointing; I don't think anyone in the squad saw that heavy defeat coming. There are no excuses, it was a very poor performance & we were taken apart by the All Ireland Champions, the fact that it was a home game made it more disappointing for everyone involved. It's clear that we have a huge amount of work to do and lessons will have to be learned from the experience. From a supporters viewpoint im sure it's very frustrating, all I can say is that we will work as honest and as hard as as we can over the coming weeks and months to try and get it right. The good thing about the league is that the next game is just around the corner and im sure everyone is anxious to make amends for that performance which was unacceptable by any standard.

Hopefully there are better days ahead.
