Following our disappointing performance against Kilkenny on Sunday its back to club action this weekend for the majority of the squad. With that being the case we wont meet as a group until next Tuesday giving all involved plenty of time to digest what went wrong in Croke Park.
Mistakes were made and lessons will have to be learned from these experiences but at least with an All Ireland quarter final in the 25th of July we are left with a chance of doing so. Too often in the past defeats like Sunday's have knocked us out of the championship and left us with no chance of redemption, which again highlights the value of competing in the Leinster championship, and I'm sure the squad as a whole will be very anxious to make amends for Sundays unacceptable showing whatever team the qualifiers sends our way.
As the saying goes, you learn more in defeat than you do in victory and Sundays lesson will hopefully prove to be a valuable one as we look to the quarter finals.
