Our last two league games were against Kilkenny at home in Pearse Stadium on March 13th and against Dublin away in Parnell park last weekend. While there is still plenty of room for improvement we were delighted to win both games. These results leave us in a positive position heading into the last two rounds of the league.

The current league format has the top two teams going straight to the final and right now, depending on how results go, there are still a number of teams with chances of making it to the league final in early May. We have two tough games in the run in, the first of those is next Sunday, April 3rd when we take on the 2010 All Ireland champions in Pearse Stadium. This is our first meeting since the All Ireland quarter final last July in Croke Park when Tipp shaded a high scoring game by one point, our last game is an away to Waterford on April 17th .

With the time change last weekend we were able to get some ball work done on the pitch for the first time this year. I think everyone was looking forward to getting out to Kenny park for that. The Clairnbridge players also rejoined the squad this week after their super win in the All Ireland club final on St Patrick’s day.

Sunday is our game of the year in Pearse Stadium, hopefully there will be a good crowd there. The county board have arranged free entry for all under 14 teams competing in this years Feile competition which is being hosted by Galway in June.
